Sts Timothy and Titus, Friends of St Paul

1 candle lit

Timothy and Titus were close friends and fellow workers of St Paul. Timothy had a Greek father and a Jewish mother, Eunice, and his grandmother Lois was the first Christian in the family. Paul placed him in charge at Ephesus and once advised him to take a little wine for his frequent stomach illnesses. Titus, a Greek, carried Paul's stern letter to Corinth and later guided the Church on Crete. Their feast is January 26. Light a free candle for a young person starting a hard job. Sts Timothy and Titus, pray for us.
