St Paul Miki and the Martyrs of Japan

1 candle lit

In 1597 twenty-six Christians, among them the Jesuit St Paul Miki and three boys, were crucified on a hill at Nagasaki. Paul Miki forgave his executioners from the cross. Their feast is February 6. Light a candle for Japan, and for the gift of forgiveness. Martyrs of Japan, pray for us.
