For a special intention

St Lucy, patron of eyesight

1 candle lit

St Lucy, a young martyr of Syracuse in Sicily, carries light in her name, and people pray to her for their eyes and for those who are blind. In Sweden and Norway her feast is kept with candlelit processions in the darkest days of the year. Her feast is December 13. Light a candle for someone with eye trouble. St Lucy, pray for us.
