For a special intention

St Josephine Bakhita

1 candle lit

Bakhita was kidnapped as a child in Sudan and sold into slavery. In Italy she found her freedom and her faith, and became a Canossian sister known for her gentleness. She is the patron of Sudan and of victims of human trafficking. Her feast is February 8. Light a candle for everyone held in slavery today. St Josephine Bakhita, pray for us.
