For a special intention

St Brigid of Kildare

1 candle lit

St Brigid founded a monastery at Kildare and became, with St Patrick, a patron of Ireland. She was known for giving away everything to the poor. Her woven rush cross still hangs in Irish homes. Her feast is February 1, the first day of spring in Ireland. Light a candle for your home and everyone in it. St Brigid, pray for us.
