St Alphonsa of India

St Alphonsa was a Franciscan sister in Kerala who lived with long illness and pain, and offered it up with patience and joy. In 2008 she became the first woman from India to be canonized. People pray to her for the sick. Her feast is July 28. Light a candle for someone living with illness. St Alphonsa, pray for us.
