For a special intention

Our Lady of Aparecida, patroness of Brazil

1 candle lit

In 1717 three fishermen on the Paraíba river pulled up a small clay statue of Mary in their net, and then caught more fish than they could carry. She is the patroness of Brazil, and her shrine is one of the largest churches in the world. Her feast is October 12. Light a candle for Brazil. Our Lady of Aparecida, pray for us.
